The Richmond Business Challenge is a unique corporate 10K held inside the beautiful Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew, on Saturday 12 September 2026.
Whether you’re looking to improve employee wellbeing, reward your team or simply enjoy an unforgettable day out together, the Business Challenge is open to organisations of every size. Teams can be as small as four people, with no upper limit.
The winning company will lift the Richmond Business Challenge Trophy, while every participant will enjoy the incredible RUN-FEST experience, including a closed-road course through Kew Gardens, a finisher’s medal, exclusive event t-shirt and a lively finish line celebration.
How it works
Entering couldn’t be easier.
Simply register your company and nominate a team coordinator. We’ll provide an easy-to-use online management system where colleagues can claim their own places. Your fastest four finishers will automatically count towards your team’s overall time, so there’s nothing complicated to organise.
Teams of 15 or more receive a 10% discount, and businesses entering 25+ runners can speak to us about a bespoke package.

How Does It Work?
Entering couldn’t be simpler.

- Turn up, run and enjoy the day.
- We’ll calculate the results automatically.
There is no upper limit on team size, so companies can enter as many runners as they wish (subject to availability).
4 Team Competition Categories:
1. Mixed Team Championship
Your fastest 2 men and fastest 2 women will count towards your team score.
The company with the lowest combined finishing time wins.
2. Male Team Championship
Your fastest 4 male runners will count towards your team score.
The company with the lowest combined finishing time wins.
3. Female Team Championship
Your fastest 4 female runners will count towards your team score.
The company with the lowest combined finishing time wins.
4. Fittest Company award
The largest company team to finish.
Team Scoring
The scoring team is automatically calculated from your fastest eligible runners.
You don’t need to nominate runners in advance.

ABOUT BUSINESS CHALLENGE
WHO CAN ENTER?
The Business Challenge is open to organisations of any size, you just need a team of 4 people (minimum) to enter.
HOW DO I ENTER A TEAM?
Work out the size of your team (this must be a minimum of 4 people) and complete the entry form above. You’ll be directed to a payment form to complete payment to secure your entries. Once payment is received, we’ll give the nominated team coordinator access to your group dashboard to invite your team. All your runners need to do is complete the online form to secure their entry.
WHAT IS INCLUDED IN THE ENTRY PRICE?
Entry includes a race place and entry into the Business Challenge for your chosen event. All runners will receive a finisher’s t-shirt and medal and get access to exclusive runner-only discounts via our Rewards Platform. There is the opportunity to claim back VAT if it’s a business transaction. The experience of running a Great Run event is unrivalled – running through the heart of each city, with tens of thousands of runners and even more supporters, music from start to finish and a lively event village for post-event celebrations.
HOW IS THE WINNING TEAM DECIDED?
The finishing times of the four fastest team members of your team are used to calculate your qualifying finish time, and decide the winner of each event. The winning team at each event will receive a Business Challenge trophy to display with pride.
HOW DO WE PAY?
Simply register your company on the booking form to secure your team. Increase or decrease numbers before the deadlines below for added flexibility. We will invoice you 2 weeks before the event with your final numbers.

WHAT IS THE PAYMENT DEADLINE ?
Wednesday 19th August @ 6pm
WHEN WILL WE RECEIVE MEDAL INSERTS?
Runners have the option to buy medal inserts for the back of their medals. This will be paid for buy individuals. Medal insert attachments will be engraved with each runner’s individual name, finish time. If you have purchased Medal inserts for your team in your booking, they will produced after the event and posted out directly to individual runners’ addresses.
