REASONS TO RUN THE KEW GARDENS 10K
*As this is a ticketed venue, your race place allows you to bring 2 adults and 2 children (under 16) into Kew Gardens to cheer you on for free, however you must enter before 08:20am when the gates close for the race start.
ABOUT THE KEW 10K
This beautiful 10k will take place on fully closed roads inside the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew in Southwest London on the 3rd April 2027. This 10K has historically taken place as part of the Richmond RUN-FEST events in September, but has now moved to join the new KEW THE RUN weekend alongside the Kew Gardens Half Marathon. This is London’s flattest 10k so with good training you’ll run a personal best and the perfect opportunity to get a fast run in ahead of the London Marathon.
The Kew Gardens 10K route will take you on a flat, quick and scenic route of Kew Gardens. It will include all of the key attractions of Kew Gardens – Palm House, Temperate House and The Hive.
After the events, finishers and their families* can explore London’s no. 1 visited tourist attraction Kew Gardens that holds 50,000 living plants to be found across the UNESCO World Heritage site.

Spectator Entry to the Kew Gardens 10K
As Kew Gardens is a ticketed venue, each race place includes free entry for up to 2 adults and 2 children (under 16) to cheer you on.
To use this free entry, all spectators must enter Kew Gardens before 08:20am, when the gates close for the 10K race start.
Spectators must enter via Elizabeth Gate.
Elizabeth Gate will close at 08:20am for this event.
No entry is permitted after 08:20am until Kew Gardens open to paying visitors at 10:00am.
Once inside, spectators may remain in Kew Gardens for the rest of the day.
Re-entry is not permitted—if you leave the Gardens, you will need to pay the standard entry fee to return.

If you would like to invite more spectators, you can purchase additional tickets via your “Kew The Run Confirmation”email by clicking the VISIT THE SHOP button.
We’ll have plenty of staff available to issue race numbers on race morning from 6:45am from Kew Green near Elizabeth Gate.
However, to save time on the day, you may also collect your race number in advance from one of our partner stores in Richmond, Putney or Kingston listed below.

Race numbers can be collected from 1:00pm on Tuesday 17th March 2026 until 3:00pm on Friday 27 March 2026, from any of the locations below.

The new course has net drop of 5ft and only a total of 63ft gain the whole course.
