Kew Green Residents Kew The Run

EVENT INFORMATION – 28TH/ 29TH MARCH 2026

Dear Residents of Kew Green,

I am writing to inform you about Kew The Run, which will be taking place on Saturday 28th March and Sunday 29th March. This letter provides information specifically for residents living around Kew Green (West), particularly regarding the Half Marathon on Sunday 29th March.

Firstly, I would like to apologise in advance for any inconvenience the event may cause and thank you for your understanding. Events such as this help raise significant funds for charities and local community groups. Last year alone, this event raised over £210,000, and we are on course to exceed that total this year.

Saturday 28th March – Kew Gardens 10K Race

Our 10K race takes place entirely within Kew Gardens. Aside from Kew Green being busy as runners arrive between 7:00am and 8:15am, there should be minimal disruption for local residents.

Sunday 29th March – Kew Gardens Half Marathon

The Half Marathon will have a longer impact on the north end of Kew Green this year. At Mile 7 of the race, runners will pass along the pavement in front of houses on Kew Green (see map on the other side).

This section of the race will run between 8:40am and 10:00am, with the busiest period expected between 8:55am and 9:20am.

During this time:

  • Residents will still be able to exit via the road if needed.
  • We will have staff and marshals present to assist residents and help manage the flow of runners.
  • If you need assistance leaving during this time, our team will be on hand to help.
  • If you know you will be moving your vehicle during this period, please let us know and we can assist you.

If you would like more information about what is happening, I have created a short video on our website. Please use the QR code or visit:

We appreciate that hosting events like this can cause some temporary disruption, and we are very grateful for the support of the local community.

A Small Thank You

As a gesture of thanks to local residents, we would be delighted to offer you a free place in our upcoming Richmond 10K on Saturday 12th September 2026, or an entry to next years Kew The Run. You are welcome to use this yourself or gift it to a friend or donate it to a charity.

To receive your free entry code, please contact me at the following email address:

Thank you again for your patience and support. Events like this not only raise funds for charities but also support many local community groups through volunteering and donations.

Kind regards,

Tom Bedford
