Dates
Kew the Run is a two day event that includes the Kew Gardens 10k on Saturday 30th March and the Kew Half Marathon on Sunday 31st March 2024.
Entry times
Kew The Run is open from 7am. Entrance for Kew the Run will be via Elizabeth Gate.
The Gardens open to the public at 11am on both Saturday and Sunday.

* Kew Gardens is a ticketed venue so we are delighted that your race entry also allows an additional 2x adults and 2x children (U16) to enter with you FREE of charge when you arrive for the race!
Important:
SATURDAY (Kew 10k) – For your spectators to access this free entry they will need to be in the Gardens via Elizabeth Gate before the gates close at 08:30am for our private run. Once the gates close there is no admission until they re-open to only paying customers at 11am. Once you are in Kew Gardens you can remain there for the rest of the day but you cannot exit and then re-enter without paying the standard entry fee.
SUNDAY (Kew Half) – For your spectators to access this free entry they will need to be in the Gardens via Elizabeth Gate before the gates close at 08:30am for our private run. If spectators are heading straight to the finish line in Brentford Car Park they will need to gain a wrist band from our information tent by presenting runners name. They can then gain access via Brentford Gate with the runner after they have finished.
Once you are in Kew Gardens after 12:00, you can remain there for the rest of the day but you cannot exit and then re-enter without paying the standard entry fee.
Race Packs will be collected from Sporting Feet, Richmond (9 King St, London TW9 1ND) from 24th March and they will also be available to be collected on the morning of your race outside Elizabeth Gate (more info will be sent to runners in their final instructions).

The route is on pathways although terrain can vary in different areas of the Gardens. If you or any members of your group are encountering any difficulties, please alert one of our friendly marshals who will do their best to help you, and who can offer possible shortcuts to the exit.

Wheelchairs, mobility scooters and buggies
Kew The Run is presented in the natural landscape. Whilst every effort is made to make the route fully accessible, by its very nature it will cover some difficult terrain with a number of varying gradients. These areas may be challenging during wet weather.
Children’s scooters and balance bikes are not permitted on inside the Garden.
Dogs
Registered disability assistance dogs are allowed, other dogs are not allowed.
Food and drink
Please note, we are operating cashless across our catering units at Kew The Run.
What to bring and wear
There are no covered areas during the routes and the paths can get wet so please ensure you wear appropriate clothing and footwear for the weather.
Photography
Please feel free to take photos along the route but do be aware of others.
We use photographs taken at Kew The Run for promotional purposes. Runners agree to this in our terms and conditions of entry but please contact us if you would not like photographs to be used in this way. Click here to contact us
Toilets
Event toilets will be placed next to the Family Kitchen. There are accessible toilets at Visitor Toilets, Family Kitchen Toilets and Brentford Gate.

Parking is now strictly prohibited along Kew Road, due to the implementation of cycle lanes on both directions along the length of this road.
Brentford Gate car park
Parking at Kew’s Ferry Lane car park (TW9 3AF) is for advance booking only.
You need to buy tickets with reserved parking (additional £15) to guarantee your space.
Tickets for daytime public parking will be available from 10am from Herbarium Car Park (Kew Green, TW9 3AB).
National Archives car park
Car parking spaces are available to pre book at the National Archives parking facility (TW9 4DU).
Public Parking
Tickets for daytime public parking will be available from 10am from Herbarium Car Park (Kew Green, TW9 3AB).
Disabled access public parking
Disabled parking in Brentford car park (TW9 3AF) is free to drivers with a disability and displaying the Blue Badge. Please speak to our parking team at the top of Ferry Lane who will instruct you to an available spot. Please note that Sunday 2nd April that disabled access to Brentford car park will only be available from 10.30am (Please note Gardens open at 11am).
Safety and security
For the safety and security of everyone at Kew The Run we will carry out full security checks at all entrance gates.
If you see anything suspicious or any persons acting suspiciously, please tell the nearest member of staff immediately.
Please do not leave any belongings unattended at any time.
Keep your children with you at all times but also advise them on a meeting point if they do get lost or speak to a member of staff.
