What is the event that is taking place?
This is the Uber Boat by Thames Clippers Richmond RUN-FEST which includes the following races and start times:
8.00am: Richmond Marathon
9.30am: Richmond Half Marathon
Where can I find race maps?
On the www.run-fest.com website you can find google courses for the races. Or click on the event below:
Do I need to do anything on the day?
You should have received your race number in the post so you are all ready to go, if not head to the tents on Kew Green and collect your race pack from there.
I have forgotten or lost my running number
No worries – just head over to our information tent on Kew Green and they will sort you out with a new race number
Where can I leave my bag?
Drop your bag off at the baggage trucks by Elizabeth Gate. Make sure you go the truck for your event. Remember to pick up your bag after the race before you leave after you finish at Old Deer Park.
Where is the start line?
The Start line is on the Broadwalk by the Great Lawn, you will be called to your wave pens about 15 minutes before the start of the race. Make sure you have been to the toilet and dropped your bag off before then.
Where is the finish line?
The finish line for all events is at Old Deer Park, it’s about a 30 minute walk from here or you can get the 110 or 65 Bus. From 8.30am, spectators can exit from Lion Gate (the nearest gate to Old Deer Park by the Pagoda).
Where can I meet my family?
The best place to meet is going to be the finish line at Old Deer Park where you can enjoy some music, food and drinks.
Where is the best place to watch?
There is a few places on the route that you can watch your runners. We recommend watching them at the start at Broadwalk, then staying near the Great Lawn as they pass at 1 mile, then going to Elizabeth Gate to see them exit the gardens before heading to the finish line. Please always listen to our volunteer marshals and staff instructions while near the race route.
Alternatively spectators can watch runners at the beautiful Palm House and exit from Lion Gate at 8.30am (the nearest gate to Old Deer Park by the Pagoda).
I am volunteering on the day – where do I sign in?
The sign-in briefing time and location for all volunteers the volunteer desk on Kew Green. From here they will be directed where to meet their team leader.
Can I register to run on the day?
No unfortunately not – there is a capacity on each event due to the event taking place inside Kew Gardens. Due to the demand of the event, it has sold out months ago. Entries for next year will be opening soon, check out the other events on the run-fest website.
Where does the course go?
All the races start in Kew Gardens, following the paths around the gardens before heading onto the tow path to Richmond. The half and full marathon then continue to Teddington before the marathon goes to Kingston and Hampton Court, they both return to Richmond via Ham House. The 10k turns left into Old Deer Park at Old Palace Lane.
Where can I get water?
10K there is a water station at 4km (Victoria Gate) and water is provided at the finish line.
For the Half Marathon there is water stations at 3 miles (water @ Victoria Gate), 7.5 miles (water & electrolyte drink @ Friars Lane), 9.7 miles (Water) Riverside Drive, 11.6 miles (water @ Petersham & Ham Sea Scouts) and at the finish line.
For the Marathon there is water at 4 miles (Victoria Gate), 7.7 miles (Friars Lane), 11.5 miles (Lower Ham Road), 14.5 miles (Barge Walk), 20 miles (Skerne Road), 22.8 miles (Riverside Drive), 24.5 miles (Petersham & Ham Sea Scouts)
Where are the toilets?
There is toilets in Lower Nursery at the event village for before and after the race in Old Deer Park. On the course there are toilets at each of the Aid Stations as well as the toilets inside Kew Gardens

Marathon – 3.2miles (Lion Gate), 4 miles (Victoria Gate), 7.7 miles (Friars Lane), 11.5 miles (Lower Ham Road), 14.5 miles (Barge Walk), 20 miles (Skerne Road), 22.8 miles (Riverside Drive), 24.5 miles (Petersham & Ham Sea Scouts)
Please do not use public places such as any of the trees or bushes.
Can I discard/leave anything at the start line?
Sadly, we cannot accept any clothing that you leave at the start line, we kindly ask you leave everything at the bag drop that you do not want to run with. Anything that goes to the start line with you should make it to the finish line or directly into a bin.
I have a complaint / I would like to give feedback / How can I contact the organisers?
As an event we do encourage feedback, we kindly ask all participants to drop as an email at info@run-fest.com with any feedback, positive or negative. We also kindly ask that runners remember that many of the people that you see at the event are volunteers. If there is a pressing matter, marshals and stewards at the event will be able to contact event control who can reach the organisers directly.

How do I purchase official race photos?
To purchase official race photo, please go to my mybibnumber www.mybibnumber.com . We will email participants when they’re ready.
Is there a way to track participants?
We do not have live tracking at this event, however results are posted shortly after the race and will be available at www.run-fest.com
When is the next Kew Gardens run?
We will be back in Kew Gardens on the 28th/29th March 2026 for Kew 10K and Kew Half Marathon.
