Be part of London’s most exclusive event! The Richmond Half Marathon is part of a weekend which also includes the Richmond RUN-FEST Marathon, and the Richmond 10k. The Half and Full Marathon start within the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew, and will finish in a music festival in Old Deer Park in Richmond.

Tour the gardens before passing historical assets including Ham House, Richmond Palace, Teddington Lock, and the meandering River Thames, finishing at a fantastic finish festival and fitness expo with live music in Old Deer Park. Clearly marked & measured England Athletics certified course (Licence ID: 28982).

Spectator Admission

Your race entry includes free entry to Kew Gardens for four spectators This free entry is only valid between 7:00am and 9:00am.

Entry details

Spectators do not need to arrive with their runner, but must arrive within the entry window.
Entry is via Elizabeth Gate only (postcode TW9 3AE).
No entry is permitted after 9:00am, so please plan to arrive early.

While inside Kew Gardens

Spectators are welcome to enjoy the Gardens once inside.
Re-entry is not permitted—if you leave, you will not be able to return without paying standard admission.

Dogs

Dogs are not permitted inside Kew Gardens.
Dogs are welcome at the finish line in Old Deer Park (postcode TW9 2SF).

After 9:00am

After 9:00am, we recommend spectators make their way to Old Deer Park to cheer runners across the finish line.

RACE PACK COLLECTION:

We’ll have plenty of staff available to issue race numbers on race morning from 6:15am from Kew Green near Elizabeth Gate.
However, to save time on the day, you may also collect your race number in advance from one of our partner stores in Richmond, Putney or Kingston listed below.

Terrain:

Multi-terrain: Flat and fast! All on road and path inside Kew Gardens before running along the Thames Towpath. Please expect to run on flat path, road, gravel and grass during the 13.1 miles. The course is flat as a pancake.

Marshals:

The entire course will be fully marshalled. Marshalls are volunteers so please say thanks to these amazing people!

Sweep Marshals:

A sweep Marshal will be present to assist athletes who do not complete the course and will be transported to the finish line.

Water Station Locations:

Richmond Half Marathon has water stations at 4.1 miles (water), 8 miles (water), 10 (water & electrolyte drink), 11.8 miles (water) and at the finish line.

Refunds / Deferrals:

Race entries are NOT TRANSFERABLE and NON-DEFERABLE. We do not permit a change of race number. A full refund will only be offered within 14 days of payment. After this there will be NO REFUNDS, DEFERRALS TO NEXT YEAR OR TRANSFERS TO ANOTHER RUNNER.
