Where are the final instructions?
Where do I collect race numbers?
Unless you are an international runner, all September Richmond RUN-FEST race numbers will be sent out in the post 1 week before race day. If you do not have a race number by the Tuesday before the event, please collect one from the info tent in the morning of the race.

Can friends and family come into Kew Gardens to support me?
ABSOLUTELY! Your race entry includes free entry into Kew Gardens for 2 adults and 2 children, as long as they have entered before 08:30am on Saturday and before 09:15am Sunday.
There is NO ADMISSION into Kew Gardens after this time. Spectators do not have to be with their runner to gain access but must arrive on time and can only gain access Elizabeth Gate (postcode TW9 3AE).
Please note Dogs are NOT ALLOWED inside Kew Gardens but are welcome at the finish line in Old Deer Park.
After this time, we suggest spectators head to Old Deer Park (TW9 2SF) to welcome you through the finish-line. Dogs are welcome at the finish line.
Where are toilets located on the course?
For the 10k: The are two toilet blocks on the 10k course. First one is by Palm House Pond 2km and Another block near Lion Gate at 5km.
There are several toilets along the Half Marathon and Full Marathon course.
Where will the waterstations be?
Richmond 10K:
There will be one water station at 5.3km and at the finish.
Half Marathon & Full Marathon:
There will be a water station approximately every 3 miles.
More specifically, the Richmond Half the water stations at 3 miles (water), 7.5 miles (water & Maurten drink), 9.7 miles (Water), 11.6 miles (water) and at the finish line.
The Richmond Marathon water stations are at 4 miles (water), 8.6 miles (water & Maurten drink), 11.6 miles (water), 14.9 miles (Water & Maurten), 17.5 miles (water), 20.1 miles (water & Maurten), 21.7 miles (water), 24.6 miles (water) and at the finish line.
Can I enter the race and still raise money for a charity that is not an official charity?
es, you can run for any cause of your choice. Once you have your place you can contact that charity direct.
If you enter through a Public Entry place you do not have to fundraise, however many runners do and enjoy this experience.

Can I get a refund or defer my place to the following year?
Race entries are NOT TRANSFERABLE and NON-DEFERABLE. We do not permit a change of race number. A full refund will only be offered within 14 days of payment. After this there will be NO REFUNDS, DEFERRALS TO NEXT YEAR OR TRANSFERS TO ANOTHER RUNNER.
What if I change my address?
If you need your race pack delivered to an alternative address to the one you registered with, please email info@richmondrunningfestival.com to let us know before Friday 12th August at 5pm (if you are running in our September events). If you miss this deadline you will need to arrive at least one hour before your race to collect a new race pack from the info tent in the event village for a fee of £5.
What If I miss the Change of Address Deadline?
If you did not notify us before the deadline we set we can not stop your race pack being delivered to the address you provided when you registered. This means you will have to collect a spare pack on the day and incur a £5 charge.
Where can I leave my bags/clothes?
Our friendly baggage team will be waiting for you to collect your baggage. Please provide your own bags. For the Half and Full Marathon, your bags will be taken over to the finish line in Old Deer Park for you to collect your belongings afterwards.
Where will my race start?
AIR:10k all start on the Broadwalk in Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew.

Is the race chip timed?
Yes, using disposible chips.
Where do I place my chip?
You place your ipico chip on your shoe. Please see example in previous final instructions document.
What happens if I receive my number but cannot run on race day?

Can I give my number to a friend to run?
Sorry, this goes against our health and safety regulations and breaks our public liability insurance. We are responsible for our registered runners only and require emergency information incase something happens.
Can my dog/pram run with me?
Sadly no.
Can dogs enter Kew Gardens?
Sadly no. It is Kew’s policy that only assistance dogs can enter the gardens. However on the Sunday, dogs are more than welcome at the finish line in Old Deer Park.
Is this race on closed roads?
The new AIR:10k is a fully road closed race running round the beautiful Kew Gardens. The Richmond Half and full marathon is on multi-terrain paths.
Can I run with headphones?
AIR:10K = yes you can run with headphones.
Richmond Half/Full Marathon – Sadly no (in-ear headphones) as it isn’t all inside Kew Gardens. Runbritain rules, not ours. However, you can use bone conduction headphones.
What is the terrain like?
AIR:10K – 100% on flat paths around Kew.
The Richmond Marathon & Half Marathon is all on road and path inside Kew Gardens before running along the Thames Towpath. Please expect to run on flat path, road, gravel and grass (very minimal grass). The course is flat as a pancake.

Is the course measured and can it be used for London Marathon 'Good for age' or a Boston Marathon qualifier?
All courses have been measured by Olympic Games measurer Hugh Jones on behalf Association of UK Course Measurers and our event is ran under RUNBRITAIN rules. Therefore yes, it can be used for London ‘GFA’ purposes and Boston Marathon Qualifiers.
